At Aimhigher Hampshire & Isle of Wight, we are committed to making sure that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains:

  • how we use the information we collect about you
  • how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit our use of that information
  • the procedures we have in place to protect your privacy.
  1. The information we collect and how we use it

    a. When you register for our service we ask you for your name, postal address, e-mail address and phone number.

    b. We use this information to process your registration on our website and to reply to any enquiries that you make.

    c. We might also use the information to monitor who uses our website and help us develop the website and our services. The information we use for this purpose will not include information that could identify you or anyone else.

    d. We might want to contact you by phone, post, e-mail or fax with details of information or services we think may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to do this, please send an e-mail to webmaster@connexions-southcentral.org.

We might also want to send you related information from people or organisations outside the Connexions Service that we think may be of interest to you. If you would like us to send your details to these people or organisations, please send an e-mail to webmaster@connexions-southcentral.org. We will not send your details to anyone else unless you tell us that we can.

  2. How we collect information

Our website uses ‘cookies’, which are very small text files put on your hard drive by web-page servers. They allow our website to ‘recognise’ you as a Connexions member without you needing to log in every time you use a service on our website. The cookie does not hold sensitive personal data and it is automatically deleted when you leave the website. We do not collect any other information about you from the website unless we say otherwise somewhere else in this privacy policy.

  3. How we protect your information

We have various systems in place to keep your information confidential – these systems cover storing, accessing and passing on your personal information.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you are entitled to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you. To see this information, please send an e-mail to our Data Protection Officer at webmaster@connexion-southcentral.org.

  4. Updating your details

If any of the information that you have given to us changes (for example, you change your e-mail address or your name, or you want to cancel your registration), please let us know by sending an e-mail to webmaster@connexion-southcentral.org.

  5. Your permission

By sending us your information, you are giving us permission to use your information in the way we have described in this privacy policy. If we change our privacy policy, we will put a notice of the changes on this page of our website, and we may also put notices on other pages of the website so that you are aware of the information we collect and how we use it. Your continued use of this service will mean that you agree to any such changes.

  6. How to contact us

We welcome your views about our website and our privacy policy. If you would like to contact us with any questions or comments, please send an e-mail to webmaster@connexion-southcentral.org.

We like to keep in touch with young people living in our area. From time to time you may be contacted by a Personal Adviser (PA) to find out if you need any help or support from us.

The PA will also ask you what you are doing now and your plans for the future.
